Blocks of the Month Quilt...

The question was asked by Joe as to whether or not the blocks are paper pieced. The answer is No! Actually, they are made from a book called Stars by Magic by Nancy Johnson-Srebro. This technique creates "diamond-free stars from Squares and Rectangles with perfect points and no Y-seams." Although I thought the first block was difficult to make following these directions - it turned out beautiful and I've not had a problem making any of the other blocks we've done. I love this technique! My points are really sharp and I love that!!!!
