My Corner of the World...

Claremont is trying to grow up and make use of some of the old mills which we have - Think I've mentioned this before...

The Visitors Center - (to be truthful - it's not much of a visitor's center) is where the Planning and Development offices for the city are located and is located across the river from downtown.

Right after we moved here there was talk of building a pedestrian bridge to hook up the Visitors Center to the area that is being rebuilt.
This is it...(not open to pedestrian traffic yet) - The mills behind it will house a Common Man restaurant, a boutique hotel, hopefully some cute shops, and condos.

While I admit that the view of the river in that area is stunning - I'm not quite sure that the bridge was a needed addition - considering that it doesn't really go anywhere other than to the Visitors Center.

But, it does look pretty...
