Happy Valentine's Day...

Yes, it is about love...

The other night I was blog jumping and ran across this photo and a newsclipping at a blog belonging to Bittersweet.

To see this fireman share his water with that sweet hurt little animal just speaks volumes about caring about others.

From Sydney, Australia AP writer, Kristen Gelineau:

"One furry survivor has emerged a star: a koala, nicknamed "Sam" by her rescuers, was found moving gingerly on scorched paws by a fire patrol on Sunday. Firefighter David Tree offered the animal a bottle of water, which she eagerly accepted, holding Tree's hand as he poured water into her mouth - a moment captured in a photograph seen around the world."

I love this photo, such a nice thing that man did. To answer your question about the sole of the shoes; I used canvas. Suede would also work. These shoes are definitly better for little ones that don't get around a lot yet, since they could be a bit slippery.

There was a segment on the Today show about "Sam" this morning and they showed live photos of her where she is being nursed back to health. She is doing well...thanks to the caring of that firefighter who gave her water and rescued her. This is a very nice story with a happy ending.

Oh that picture was in the paper here, too! It's just so cute. Amid all the terrible devastation and tragedy in Australia, a glimmer of hope is welcome.

I saw the segment on the Today Show about this yesterday morning, too. It's such a sweet story.

Happy Valentine's Day to you, too!
