My first pair of socks...

Posted by Picasa My first pair of socks! These were the socks I made when taking the sock making class. I love this yarn. It is soft and warm. It is a worsted weight and they fit like boot socks. The yarn is varigated with blue, lavander and white...of course, they had to be lavander since purple is my most favorite color.

Aren't first socks The BEST? I'm lovin' mine. You're braver than I, my first pair were in an heavy worsted weight on size 7 or 8 needles. I wanted them done FAST. Great job!

You did a great job! Your feet will be very warm and happy! The first pair of many to come. I bet you will be making socks for every day of the week and for your family.

Beautiful socks. I love the colour... does that yarn come in a green?
Dave is inspiring me to try socks (sometime in the near future) myself...

Hello Sara, well ....... your socks are gorgeous and they look so nice. I can't knit at all, well I can, but things end up with holes in them...... am very good at dropping stitches. I've promised myself to knit a scarf for this Winter as I found the most lovely wool of recent ... we will see how far I get. Actually, might help to have knitting needles .... LOL
I so enjoyed reading your blog .... it is fantastic and I feel as if I know you!

Jay,

It does come in green. Actually, I used the Encore Colorspun which is varigated - and worsted weight and it looked like there was a green. They have a solid Encore worsted weight and it comes in two shades of green. The website is http://www.plymouthyarn.com/ and they have a link to find a store near you.
