November is here!...

Happy November!

My world is looking very colorful right now! Today I left the house at 11:00 a.m. and didn't return until 4:00 p.m. Did something I haven't done in a long while...I picked a road that I had only been on partway and continued along that road the rest of the way. It was a beautiful road - covered with trees and in part it was paved and other parts were not. I kept turning as I ran out of road - and ended up at a major road - 12A about a mile from Lebanon, New Hampshire.

Drove into Lebanon and went to Borders - I was looking for a certain book - but it wasn't in stock...ended up getting a gorgeous knitting magazine called Simply Knitting. I've only made it through the 2008 calendar that came with it - and already I've found four items that I want to KNIT! The magazine comes from England...

Treated myself to lunch at Friendly's where my friend, Tammy, works. Had a really good fish sandwich with fries and a hot fudge sundae!

Thank you for sharing the beautiful colors. Thanks to the drought down here, we're going straight to brown, nekkid trees.

It's been a long time since I've gone exploring on a road not traveled. I must do that soon.

Sounds like a really nice day. . . and your foliage is far nicer than what we have in Jersey--dang long summer.

Pretty pics! And you bought one of my favorite mags! I make it a point to try and get one each month (even though I am always a month behind) Have you noticed how the days of the week are arranged on the calendar?? Makes good sense to me. I wonder why we do ours like we do. What do you want to make out of this issue?

Now THAT sounds like a great day, thanks for letting us tag along.

I like to do the same thing while riding my motorcycle. Never been on this road, wonder what is around that bend? Then you tied the day off with lunch with a friend - perfect.

Great pic!

Michele sent me and I'm glad she did.

autumn is right up there on my favorite list. although we don't really have a change of seasons in my country, the few times i have gone abroad, i was fortunate to have been able to experience all four seasons. just seeing the myriad of colors that come with each season is awe-inspiring. ;)

I love the color changes we get around here. And what a nice Unplaned/Planned road trip you had. Funny ... I like to do that once in awhile too. I either find a new short cut or neat places to stop and visit. Have a great weekend, Sara.

Enjoy the colors tomorrow morning if you can --- it looks like the storm may be bearing down on your area and the wind and the rain may ruin the foliage:-(
Good luck with the next day or two,]
