Quilting Day...

Killian here, again!

Mom is sewing today. Seems she has to have two blocks done in time for quilt group tomorrow night. Both the blocks are for the guild - one for a raffle quilt for the Hand to Heart project which offers free massage to terminally ill patients who cannot afford them. The monies raised from the raffle goes to give the therapist some payment for their services. Red Stars on a white background.

The other is a Comfort quilt for a neighbor and friend of the guild. This will bring her some joy. Green, purple, or blue star on a muslin background.

She is thinking about what to do with her Block of the Month - and has stacks of fabric everywhere...so, I think I'll do what I do best...

Ta da...

My mom used to make quilts. I still use the one she made a long time ago. I feel her love engulfing me.

Michele sent me here to reminiscence!

Sara did you know that Tada is a Lancashire way of saying toodle oo or Bye? I wonder if you have British family?
Behind me on the bed in my dressing room is a double patchwork quilt I made (hand sewn)when I first married MTL. I had left everything behind and it filled the time nicely.
Michele sends her best.

Oh, we could all learn a thing or two from Killian, who clearly isn't wasting any energy on things he's not good at. :)
(I like the sound of the purple, green and blue)

Michele says hello,

Sara it would seem as though your cat has the same skills that our does. Who would have ever thought that could happen?

Funny, I was in Joann's last night thinking about making the twins a quilt... then I quickly stuffed it away. I can't imagine trying to quilt with all these munchkins running around!

Thanks for the link on the pickles - that's so cool! :)

I noticed that your cat chose to lay on a color that best highlighted her hee! Michele sent me and I'm glad she did :-)

My neighbor makes beautiful quilts. She's still working on one for my almost one year old. She wanted to have it done long ago but now she's just hoping to get it done by his birthday next month!
